For Spring/Summer 2026, LUMI NOUS LAND redefines its visual language with "KARESANSUI." Karesansui uses sand, stones, and negative space to depict boundless landscapes within limited spaces. In this seemingly static scene, sand patterns allude to the flow of water, while rocks stand quietly within.

Such "stillness and movement" became the starting point for this season's clothing design. We considered modern women's demand for layered dressing—hoping to wear clothing with rich visuals, silhouettes, and personality, without the burden of repetitive styling, heat, and excessive layering. Therefore, LUMI NOUS LAND directly integrates "layers" into a single garment; it's addition visually, and subtraction in wearability. Double-layered lace, asymmetrical cuts, detachable structures, drawstrings, and ruching allow a single garment to have different layers and wearing styles; lightweight and elastic fabrics ensure the body retains space for movement and breathability.

Without needing to add more clothes, you can change your state. This season, the lines on the garments' surfaces are inspired by the sand patterns of *karesansui* (dry landscape gardens). Ribbing, pleats, and drapes are like traces on sand, shifting directions with body movements. The wearer, like a rock in the garden, is not covered by the clothing but becomes the center of the entire picture. Rocks are still, yet sand patterns continuously flow, much like the strength of women, which doesn't always need to be loudly expressed. Softness and steadfastness, quietness and extroversion, emptiness and richness can all coexist. LUMI NOUS LAND juxtaposes the tranquility and emptiness of Japanese aesthetics with Taiwan's more free, intuitive, and extroverted sensibility. Silhouettes can be close to the body or extend outward; garments can remain quiet or change their presence depending on how they are worn. What we want to leave behind is not a fixed image of women, but a space that can constantly evolve.
